Fredericton International Airport, or "YFC " (its international aeronautical designation) is just southeast of the City of Fredericton city limits, offers direct air links to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, London UK, and the Caribbean.

Fredericton's airport has been operating since 1951, and expanded in the early 1960s and again in the mid-1980s. In 2001, the airport was privatized and turned over to the Greater Fredericton Airport Authority. The Fredericton Airport is serviced by Air Canada, Air Transat, Transat Holidays (Canjet), and Sunwing. Capital Airways, Forest Protection Limited, Moncton Flight College (Fredericton campus), and Canadian Helicopters are also based here. In addition, the Airport serves the air transportation needs of Canadian Forces Base Gagetown. The Airport has two runways: 09/27, which is New Brunswick's longest runway at 8010 ft; and 15/33 which is 6000 ft.

The Airport Terminal Building facilities include a restaurant and lounge, a gift shop, car rental stations, self-service check-in kiosks, and a Business Centre. This centre is equipped with telephone services, a computer work station, and an Internet hook-up. Free wireless Internet is available throughout the terminal.
